For many years in this country, the environmental impacts from businesses and humans was rarely considered when making important decisions from agriculture, to cities design, transportation, energy and managing our own air and water resources. The earth’s health, and even human’s health was second to consider compared to growing economies and company profits.
In the 1960’s, Rachel Carson and others helped to bring awareness of the environmental movement and consciousness that still exists today. The EPA formed under the Nixon administration helped to bring big changes in cleaner air and water policies that have worked successfully.
Recent Trump executive order takes back the US in decades in our planning and deployment of cleaner and more environmental friendly products. We are NOT going to back to a time when we do NOT look at the risks, and impacts of pollution ahead of simply company profits or economic growth.
